Astăzi, 2 aprilie, de Ziua Internaţională a Conştientizării Autismului, revista Cafe Gradiva vă recomandă spre vizionare zece filme care vorbesc despre autism sau despre tulburările pervazive de dezvoltare asociate autismului:

1. Rain Man (1988), r. Barry Levinson
Selfish yuppie Charlie Babbitt's father left a fortune to his savant brother Raymond and a pittance to Charlie; they travel cross-country.

2. Temple Grandin (TV 2010), r. Mick Jackson
A biopic of Temple Grandin, an autistic woman who has become one of the top scientists in the humane livestock handling industry.

3. I am Sam (2001), r. Jessie Nelson
A mentally retarded man fights for custody of his 7-year-old daughter, and in the process teaches his cold-hearted lawyer the value of love and family.

4. The Boy Who Could Fly (1986), r. Nick Castle
An autistic boy who dreams of flying touches everyone he meets, including a new family who has moved in after their father dies.
